Dorchester Carnival raises thousands of pounds every year for local charities and good causes. Because it is organised by Dorchester Round Table and other voluntary organisations, all of the money raised goes directly to these good causes. Here are just a few that received donations last year:
The children of the The Prince of Wales School used the money they received towards the costs of new slide. The slide was requested by the children's representatives on the School Council and was installed in December 2007.
