The Teddy Bears Picnic has become something of an institution in Dorchester – this year’s is the twenty-first!  It provides a day of totally free entertainment for children of all ages thanks to the efforts of volunteers from a range of community organisations across the town, fronted by the team from Ridgeway Radio, the radio station for Dorset County Hospital.  It is sobering to think that some of the children who attended early Teddy Bears Picnics are now old enough to be bringing their own children along!
